According to the KPMG American Perspectives survey, 52% of people in Atlanta are optimistic about their personal financial situation in the next year, compared with just 19% who are not. However, this optimism does not extend to the U.S. economy. Nearly 40% of people in Atlanta are not optimistic about the growth prospects for the U.S. economy, compared with 35% who are optimistic. On my way to #gartnerSYM in Orlando. Last week, I had the chance to sit down with ExecutiveBiz to talk about what our customer’s priorities are for process innovation. An excerpt from the interview. “process optimization is about improving the speed, accuracy, or efficiency of current processes. But modern AI technologies allow you to transform certain processes on a more fundamental level. So, for example, you could choose to optimize an existing process around managing disability claims by using AI to automate certain steps in that process. But it’s also possible to innovate on a more fundamental level by using AI to access more data in real time to evaluate and even help adjudicate those claims automatically.”

More companies are creating senior roles to focus on #data and #analytics. The chief data officer role has quickly become much more common over time and across more industries; in the survey, 83% of companies have appointed a #CDO or #CDAO.
