Join us for the third-annual Day for Data Symposium at Virginia Tech— designed to showcase how leaders use practical, actionable insights from data to drive decision-making and innovation.

The symposium provides a unique platform for students, researchers, and industry professionals to learn and connect. Through keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities, experts will share key insights about vital topics in the field of business analytics. Who Can Attend?

Day for Data is open to the public! We invite students and alumni from any school or university, faculty and staff from all roles, and anyone interested in business analytics and data to attend. Admission is free for most attendees.

Only professionals representing a company and using the event to promote their business will be required to pay an admission fee. This fee can either be covered by their company’s sponsorship or paid as a stand-alone ticket.

What to Expect:

In 2024, the Day for Data Symposium will be held on Monday, November 4 at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech, located at 190 Alumni Mall, Blacksburg, VA 24061. After registration, a morning keynote will kick off the day, followed by a series of breakout sessions led by subject matter experts. We will break for lunch, and encourage all attendees to enjoy the nearby dining options, both on Virginia Tech's campus and in downtown Blacksburg. After lunch, attendees will gather together for an afternoon keynote, followed by breakout sessions and the close of the conference. In between sessions are numerous networking breaks, and attendees are also encouraged to join us for a networking reception after the conference ends.
