Day for Data is located at the Moss Arts Center located at 190 Alumni Mall, Blacksburg, VA 24061. Please make your way to the main lobby for registration and check-in.
For general attendees: Parking is available in the North End Parking Garage.
For industry sponsors: Please pull through the loop in front of the Moss Arts Center, and one of our event staff will bring a parking pass out to you.
Please note: due to Virginia Tech Procedure 90200, we are not permitted to issue visitor parking passes to current VT faculty, staff, or students. Passes are for industry sponsors only.
The event is free for most attendees. Only professionals representing a company and using the event to promote their business will be required to pay an admission fee. This fee can either be covered by their company’s sponsorship or paid as a stand-alone ticket.
Please wear business casual attire. Dress as you would for a career fair or other professional recruiting function.
Day for Data will not be livestreamed, but all sessions will be recorded and provided to event attendees following the event.
Attendees should bring the following:
- Business casual attire
- Your Hokie Passport ID (for the VT community)
- A copy of your resume/CV
- Business cards (optional)
- A notebook or notetaking device (optional)

Coffee/tea service will be provided throughout the day, with light continental breakfast options available during registration (8:30-9:00am). We do not provide lunch: attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the wide variety of dining options, both on-campus and off-campus, that are nearby and walkable. You can bring your meal back to the Moss Arts Center to eat in the lobby while networking with other attendees if you wish.
We will provide lunch for speakers and event staff that are required to stay at the Moss Arts Center through the lunch break.

Attendees are encouraged to network during the morning registration time, on breaks between sessions, during the lunch break, and at the networking event after Day for Data concludes.

The Moss Arts Center was designed with a focus on accessibility. There are six ADA parking spaces at the main entrance to the Moss Arts Center on Alumni Mall and eight ADA parking spaces at the Turner Street entrance. For more information about accessibility at the Moss Arts Center, click here.
